In the Winter of 1938 I got an important job, to write music for Oz.
When all the other songs for the film, were written and ready to record,
I still hadn’t found the sound for Dorothy’s solo in Kansas.
It was something that bugged me and no one wants to be bugged.

I can promise you, you’ll never forget about this one, it’s far too good.
You’ll never forget the first lyrics, that’s closest to your heart.
That was how I came up with the beautiful song,
that you will never forget.

So I asked the driver to pull over and so he did, next to the side-walk.
I stepped out of the car, still with something bugging me.
I put the notebook on the ground and figured something important out.
The only thing she had seen in colors were the rainbow hanging in the sky.
